CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Cincinnati Museum Center is bringing together the region's best childhood development experts this weekend.
The American Alliance of Museums recognized the Learning Through Play Conference as a national model of community engagement with parents, families and educators alike.
Because it is important for both educators and families to understand how children learn through play, the museum is hosting a Learning Through Play weekend March 12.
The day will focus on educators and provide opportunities for teachers to discover ways to include play as part of their curricula and to earn Ohio and Kentucky early childhood training hours.
Sessions are also designed for parents to better understand how their children are developing through play.
March 13 is a day dedicated to families and will host sessions and activities for families to experience the joy and benefit of playing together.
Pre-registration for Educator Day is closed.
Registration will re-open at the Learning Through Play registration desk at 8 a.m. on March 12.
The museum recommends arriving as early as possible on March 12 in anticipation of long registration lines.
Pre-registration for Family Day is still open.
