Cincinnati Northern Kentucky's Concourse C will be torn down later this year, a newspaper is reporting.
The concourse will be torn down beginning in August, airport officials tell the Cincinnati Enquirer.
It closed to fliers in 2008.
Delta and CVG opened the $50 million Concourse C back in 1994. It was quickly recognized as the only site in the nation to serve 50-seat regional jets.
Delta had planned to lease the concourse through 2025 but, according to the Enquirer, CVG and the airline renegotiated that agreement as part of the airport's new contract with passenger and cargo carriers.
Demolition is expected to begin in August, and it will take up to a year to tear down the facility and remake the site.
Plans call for the site to be used to park airplanes and as a deicing pad.
