A popular East End BBQ restaurant refused to close its doors Monday after being robbed at gunpoint.
According to Eli's BBQ's Facebook page and Twitter, their Riverside Drive location was robbed just as the restaurant was opening for lunch at 11 a.m.
Cincinnati Police Lt. Steve Saunders said two suspects took cash from the register. One had on a camouflage mask, backpack and a silver handgun. They both fled in a black sedan.
All of the employees are safe, store officials said
Eli's planned to stay open throughout the day, according to a Twitter post from the restaurant.
