Two men fled and a third person was hurt when a vehicle crashed into a pole, closing 4th Street at Russell Street early Tuesday, Kenton County dispatchers said.
Two men fled the scene at 3:53 a.m. Their descriptions were not immediately available.
One person was taken to a hospital, dispatchers said.
The impact of the crash snapped the pole and pulled wires down toward the ground, she said.
It's not clear when the road will reopen.
Duke Energy responded to the repair the pole.
To detour around the accident, head north on Madison and go west to Rivercenter Boulevard to Johnson Street and then back to 4th Street.
