CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Thousands of local Walmart workers will see pay raises in their March 10 paychecks.
When these changes go into effect, Walmart's average full-time hourly wage will be $13.38/hour. The average part-time hourly wage will be $10.58/hour, store reps say.
3,339 associates at Walmart stores in Hamilton, Butler, Warren and Clermont counties will receive a raise, according to a store spokesperson.
1,271 associates in Kenton, Boone, Campbell and Grant counties will see a hike on their next paycheck.
A total of 44,000 Ohio Walmart workers will see pay raises.
Employees hired after the first of the year will start at $9 an hour, a wage that could rise within six months, the company says.
Walmart closed 269 stores earlier this year in what they called a strategic move to focus on online and superstore businesses. The mass closure did not impact any Tri-State stores.
