RABBIT HASH,KY (FOX19) -

Nearly one month after a fire gutted Boone County’s renowned Rabbit Hash General Store, the community will come together this weekend to raise money to help restore the historic treasure.

On Saturday March 12th, Colonel De Gourmet Herbs and Spices will work in partnership with the Rabbit Hash Historical Society to hold a community pig roast fundraiser.

General Admission is $50 in advance, $75 at the door and a VIP Suite is $125 in advance. There will be a buffet,  live music, beer & wine, silent auction and appetizers.

Guests will have the opportunity to  mingle with local celebrity chefs and dignitaries and walk away with a swag bag. The  silent auction will be held from noon to 4 p.m. and the meal will be served from 4 to 6 p.m.

The event is noon until 7 p.m. in the Colonel De Gourmet Herbs and Spices parking lot located at 18 North Fort Thomas Avenue in Fort Thomas, KY.

The Kentucky general store is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is said to have been built in 1831. It is referred to as a cornerstone of the small community and has  been nationally recognized for its historical significance.
