Driver impairment is a factor in a crash that shut down a road on the city's west side for about two hours overnight, Cincinnati police said.
Officers responded to the 1800 block of Westwood Northern Boulevard about 2:30 a.m. Friday, according to Lt. Tm Brown, the night chief.
A female driver lost control of her vehicle, which ran off the road and slammed into a utility pole, he said.
The impact knocked live wires down across the road. The wires were shut off, and a Duke Energy crew responded, he said.
The road reopened just after 4:30 a.m.
The female driver was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Brown said.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
