The White House is launching a new initiative to make diapers more affordable for low-income families.

The program gives parents in need, access to diapers up to 25 percent cheaper than what is currently available.

Officials with the White House say about one in three families has trouble affording diapers for their babies.

Many low-income families are at a disadvantage because they aren't able to buy diapers in bulk, which is cheaper, since they can't get to big-box stores or have internet access.

President Obama said the program was made possible through a collaboration with Jet.com, the makers of Cuties diapers and several non-profits.

Through the partnership, Jet.com will help non-profits buy and get diapers quickly with free two-day shipping. Jet.com won't make a profit off the diapers.

The program launches at the end of April.
