CINCINNATI (FOX19) - St. Patrick's Day isn't until Thursday, but that won't stop Tri-State residents from starting the celebration a little early.
The annual St. Patty's Day Parade kicks off at noon Saturday. Bagpipers, Irish dancers, and other local groups will be showing their St. Patrick's Day spirit.
The parade has never been canceled and this year it celebrates the 50th anniversary!
The parade kicks off at noon at Mehring Way and Central Avenue. It will make its way through downtown, eventually ending at Freedom Way and Rosa Parks Street.
There will be road closures and restrictions in place along the route.
The Assembly Area streets as well as the Parade Route will be closed at 10 a.m. Parking on the parade route streets will be strictly prohibited.
