The Talbert House’s is now taking applications to help teens and young adults find jobs for the summer season.

The Summer Youth Employment Program allows eligible Hamilton County residents ages 14 to 24-years-old to work 20-30 hours each week. Talbert House representatives say the hourly pay rate is between $8.10 and $9.50.

Interested applicants under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian signature to apply.

“We’re taking the intimidation out of finding a job, finding applications and going through the process,” said Tori Turner with the Talbert House.

Turner says the program is all about empowering teens and young adults to be self-sufficient.

The Talbert House goes through job-readiness training with applicants including interviewing and resume writing tips.
