FOX 19 NOW FOX 19 NOW
WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) – -

Both sides of north and southbound Interstate 75 will shut down for short periods of time near Interstate 275 late Tuesday and early Wednesday.

The closure, which began late Sunday close to Crescentville Road, will run 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.

It is necessary for utility work, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

Work could continue Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

To detour around, take westbound Interstate 275 to Princeton Pike, go north to Muhlhauser Road to Union Centre Boulevard.

From there, you can get back on I-75 or I-275 eastbound to Reading Road/Cincinnati-Dayton Road and continue north to Union Centre Boulevard to get back to I-75.

You also can take I-71 and use the Ronald Reagan Cross County Highway or Norwood Lateral.

Allow yourself extra time in case you are caught in one of the temporary closures.

Police will maintain traffic, and all work is weather-permitting.

Arrow boards and signs also will be posted to alert motorist to work zones.

Reduce speed and remain alert. Watch for stopped traffic.
