CINCINNATI (FOX19) -

When the weather changes, the first thing we want to do is get outside and move.

Why not add in a run, shooting a bow and arrow and climbing a wall into your outdoor activity mix?  You could join the Great Parks of Hamilton County on Saturday, April 2 at 10 a.m. for the Spring Run/Walk, Shoot and Climb Challenge.

Great Parks is offering this unique event for anyone who wants a little adventure. Participants will get to walk/run 3 miles, shoot a compound bow at a target and climb a 23 foot climbing wall.

Trained and certified Adventure Outpost staff will provide basic demos and guidelines prior to the event as well as guidance throughout activities. The challenge is not timed, but participants are free to time themselves.

Pre-registration is required by March 29 at cost of $24 per person. A valid Great Parks of Hamilton County Motor Vehicle Permit ($10 annual; $3 daily) is required to enter the parks.
