CINCINNATI (FOX19) -

How did Ickey Woods’ 1988 AFC Championship ring shuffle its way onto eBay?

The former Bengals Fullback is looking for answers after his diamond-encrusted championship ring was listed for a cool $24,999 on the internet auction site.

Woods addressed the eBay listing on Facebook Wednesday, saying someone “stole my ring back in the day.” He also said he planned to get the police involved.

The listing included six photos of the ring, which is emblazoned with Ickey’s name, number and even has his signature inside the band.

The eBay seller told FOX19 NOW that he immediately contacted Cincinnati Police after learning the ring was supposedly stolen. He would not say where he got the ring, but said he wasn’t aware it had been take from Woods.

He said he has been working with the Cincinnati Police Financial Crimes  Division to return the ring to its rightful owner.
