CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

The University of Cincinnati business students studying in Belgium are safe, the university's business school announced Tuesday.

Deadly explosions early Tuesday at the airport and subway in Brussels killed at least 34 people and hurt another 136.

The 19 students from UC's Kolodzik Business Scholar program are in the city of Antwerp, located about one hour away from Brussels. They recently arrived to Belgium from Paris.

The university has been in contact with the students.

"The Lindner College of Business is working on the logistics for the remainder of our trip," Suzanne Masterson, a faculty member on the trip, said via email. "For now, we're grateful to be together and safe."
