WARREN COUNTY, OH (FOX19) - The Warren County Sheriff's Office are warning citizens about scammers identifying themselves as law enforcement.
According to a release by the sheriff's office, citizens have reportedly received phone calls from suspects identifying themselves as law enforcement.
These suspects allegedly tell the victims that there is a problem with their bank accounts. The suspects then scam the victims out of money to get the bank account fixed, according to the sheriff's office. Victims have been taken for several thousands of dollars.
The sheriff's office are warning citizens to contact their financial institutions in reference to their accounts, prior to speaking with any person about their bank accounts.
