CINCINNATI (FOX19) - A 19-year-old is accused of spitting on a Hamilton County deputy and kicking a police officer in the face after a car chase Saturday.

Taylor Pittman was a passenger in the stolen car when it crashed on Valley Junction Road, according to court documents. The driver, Tyler Harper, 24, had led police on a chase from Ross Township to Cleves.

Pittman and Harper fled on foot after the car crashed into a fence. They were apprehended by Hamilton County deputies a short time later, court documents state.

While in handcuffs, Pittman allegedly turned around and spit on the deputy and then kicked the side of a police cruiser.

"Taylor because violent and started kicking the window out of the cruiser," an officer said in a Hamilton County affidavit. "I opened the door and Taylor kicked me in the face with his left gym shoe."

The deputy suffered a busted lip.

Police found a large hunting knife, syringe and marijuana in Pittman's backpack, court documents state.

Charges against Pittman include assault, vandalism, harassment with a bodily substance and terroristic threatening.

Harper is charged with receiving stolen property and failure to comply with police.

Both men appear in court on Monday.
