Local Papal Observances Planned

Churches in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and the Diocese of Covington are presenting several observances in memory of Pope John Paul II.

On Monday at 8 a.m., Cincinnati Archbishop Daniel Pilarczyk will preside at Morning Prayer at the Cathedral of St. Peter in Chains. The Cathedral is at 8th and Plum Streets in Downtown Cincinnati.

At 7:30 p.m. on Monday, St. Gertude Parish in Madeira will hold a Memorial Mass. The church is located at 7630 Shawnee Run Rd.

Also Monday at 7:30 Holy Cross Imaculta in Mount Adams is holding a special service.

Archbishop Pilarczyk will return to St. Peter in Chains Cathedral Thursday to preside over a special Mass for the Pope. The Mass will be held at 5 p.m. This is expected to be ahigh-profile event attracting many local V.I.P.'s.

On Sunday evening April 3rd the Covington Diocese presented a Memorial Mass for Pope John Paul II at St. Agnes Church in Ft. Wright.
