LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Everybody knows Kentucky Derby parties are some of the best in country. Visitors are known to plan their entire year around the first weekend in May. And this year will be no exception.
Keys 2 KY and B Hen Ent are bringing rap superstar 50 Cent to the city to kick off Louisville's biggest day of the year. 50 is headlining the Derby Takeover party at Club Liv on Friday, May 6. And if 50 wasn't enough for the blowout, G-Unit artist Young Buck and DJ Fresh (Rich Homie Quan's tour DJ) are also joining the party.

But this is a 502 party, so there has to be some Louisville love in the building. Former B96.5 DJ and personality, DJ E-Feezy - now known as The Wolf of South Beach - is coming home to his fans. Rumor has it, you may even hear E-Feezy on the 502 radio waves again during Derby weekend, but the details about that are still a little hush-hush at this point.
DJ Slikk, owner of KY Raised and CEO of the Elitegiance entertainment coalition, will also be spinning on the 1s and 2s at the party. Slikk recently gained national attention for a photo he took with 50 Cent at Louisville's Effen vodka bottle signing event. The picture was cropped by a DJ outside of Kentucky, who posted the altered shot on social media and poked fun at 50's shoes.

There will be much more than just music and cocktails at the Derby Takeover. Party-goers can get their fix of Gulf Coast flavors from the Seafood Lady and taste delicious soul food from Lucretia's Kitchen catering.
