BOND HILL, OH (FOX19) -

Cincinnati Police’s Gang Unit along with the Violent Crime Squad busted a Dayton couple trying to make a major drug delivery in the city on Tuesday.

Eddie Lee Murphy and Marcea Hagans, both from Dayton, OH, were caught in their SUV with over $160,000 and 332 grams of cocaine. The arrests were made in Bond Hill along the 1100 block of Franklin Avenue.

“It’s a very large amount of both drugs and money, particularly the money,” said Lt. Joe Richardson of the Cincinnati Police Gang Unit. “Apparently, they make routine deliveries down here and we just  happen to catch them making one of those deliveries,” he continued.

Richardson said officers used drug dogs to find the cocaine. Murphy is on federal probation and police also seized two SUV’s.

Both suspects are charged with trafficking drugs. Murphy and Hagans are both facing a minimum of 11 years in prison.

They are currently being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center. Bond has been set at $500,000 each.
