A man, woman and 3-year-old child were killed in a crash on U.S. 50 Tuesday morning.

A 2003 Buick collided with a semi-tractor trailer after the car appeared to run a stop sign on U.S. 50 near North County Road 300 W about 1:30 a.m., Indiana State Police said.

The driver, Andre Devant, 31, and passengers Margaret Guinn, 31, and Aaliyah Guinn, 3, were all pronounced dead at the scene. They were from Cincinnati, according to state police.

The 37-year-old semi driver was taken to Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville.

He was treated and released and returned to the crash scene to retrieve items from his truck, which was hauling sheets of drywall.

The roadway was shut down for nearly 10 hours for cleanup and investigation. Officials said the crash remains under investigation.
