Reds celebrate Opening Night

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Reds fans and players are gearing up for the annual "Opening Night" festivities at Great American Ballpark Wednesday.

The tradition has become a marquee event for the franchise.

Beginning at 5:30 p.m., Reds players will walk the red carpet to meet and greet fans in the Kroger Fan Zone before the game. 

The celebration includes live music from The Rusty Griswolds and a post-game fireworks show.

The first 20,000 fans inside the park will also receive a team calendar.

The first pitch for Opening Night will be at 7:10 p.m.
