ELSMERE, KY (FOX19) - A death investigation is underway after two bodies were found inside an Elsmere home Wednesday morning.
Police were called to the Merravay Drive residence around 10:30 a.m.
Kenton County Police are handling the investigation. Detectives told FOX19 NOW they are treating the investigation as a double homicide but are not ruling out a possible murder-suicide at this time.
"I can't put my finger on it. I'm not a P.I. by any means, but I know a lot about how to put things together and I can't put this one together just yet," said Christy Boleyn who lives next door to the crime scene.
Boleyn says it was a man and a woman living in the home with several children. Investigators say family members found the dead bodies Wednesday morning.
"They're good people. I know that they would do good for others. I don't know their lifestyle was like," Boleyn said.
Autopsies are planned before identifying the victims.
"I don't think that we are chasing any one person in particular right now, but the Elsmere Police are investigating whether someone is responsible for these deaths and, if so, obviously they'll be interested in finding that person," said Kenton County Commonwealth's Attorney Rob Sanders.
