FOX19 - The chair J.K. Rowling sat in while writing the first two "Harry Potter" books has been sold at a rare books auction in New York for $394,000.
Rowling was a single mother and living in public housing at the time in Scotland.
The chair was one of four mismatched chairs in her dining room back in 1995.
She chose the most comfortable to write "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" and "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets."
The winning bidder remains anonymous.
