FOX19 - JC Penney is defending its skirt which has now come under heavy criticism. The white skirt features a black and pinkish flower and it is going viral.
Regardless of the bad reviews on social, JC Penney still has the skirt featured online. The price for it has been cut by 40 percent.
The store's response: "We think it's a fab skirt for any time of the month. Period." Penney's new CEO Marvin Ellison has vowed to rebrand the struggling chain, making it more modern.
Ellison clearly knew the skirt would attract attention, and often times attention is good for the bottom line.
