Law enforcement will be on the lookout for impaired drivers in Hamilton and Warren counties Friday night.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol and Warren County Sheriff's Office will hold an OVI checkpoint on U.S. 22/3 just north of Landen Drive in Deerfield Township from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The Hamilton County OVI Task Force and Springdale police are manning a similar operation in the 11700 of block of Springfield Pike (Ohio 4) in Springdale from 11:30 p.m. Friday until 3 am Saturday.
Patrols will be stepped up in the area of both checkpoints.
The Springdale is being targeted after 46 drivers were arrested for OVI and 9 OVI-related crashes occurred within a mile radius since April 1, 2015, according to the Hamilton County OVI Task Force.
