No date yet for conclave yet

We still don't know when the College of Cardinals will start their meeting to choose Pope John Paul's successor. They've held a second day of talks today, but a Vatican spokesman says no date has been set for the conclave because cardinals are still working out funeral details. According to church law, the conclave must occur between 15 and 20 days after the pope dies.

On NBC's "Today" show, Cardinal Edmund Szoka wouldn't comment on what took place at today's session. He's an American who is the president of the Pontifical Commission for the Vatican city-state.

Szoka says he expects the cardinals will be looking for a leader with "great intelligence" and "experiences in different ministries." He says "many, many cardinals" have those qualities.
