BOND HILL, OH (FOX19) -

Cincinnati police said a man was shot in a home invasion late Monday.

Officers responded to a residence in the 1100 block of Rossmore Avenue about 9:30 p.m., said Lt. Tim Brown, the night chief.

The man came in through a back window, hit a 34-year-old man in the head with a pistol and shot him in the left hip, according to Brown.

The victim's wife was home at the time. He was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he underwent surgery and is expected to recover, Brown said.

The suspect ran off and remains at large. No arrests were made.
