Dad works as janitor to put kids through college

BOSTON, MA (FOX19) -

Fred Vautour, 62, has worked the graveyard shift at Boston College for the past 15 years.  

He makes $60,000 a year, but his job isn’t necessarily about the salary. 

You see, Vautour has 5 kids who were college bound.  He tells the “Boston Globe” as an employee of Boston College, his kids would be able to attend tuition-free. 

Yearly costs for attending the private Jesuit university is ore $65,000 dollars a year.  

The Globe reports that BC cut $51,000 from its annual price for Vautour’s kids. 

After scholarships it cost the father about $3,000 for each child. 

All five were accepted.  His youngest graduates next month.
