HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) -

A Hamilton church made a pizza delivery driver's day by surprising him Sunday with a tip in the amount of $3,000.

The Hamilton Christian Center called up Marco's pizza in Hamilton and asked the manager to have a driver deliver a pizza to their church that could really use some help.

Delivery driver Kenny Sharp, who was probably expecting to only walk away with a few bucks in tips, walked away with a $3,000 tip from Rev. Curtis Moak.

"It's better to give than receive. So we used this as part of an illustrated sermon if you will," Moak said. " At the end of my sermon we had the pizza delivered. We asked him a question - what's the biggest tip you ever got? $25 and I looked at the congregation and said I think we can do better than that. Let's give to Kenny."

Rev. Moak learned Sharp was in need of money for car repairs and other expenses.
