Suspect in man's death in East Price Hill arrested in Georgia

EAST PRICE HILL, OH (FOX19) -

The suspect in a man's death last month is in custody in Georgia, Cincinnati police announced Wednesday.

James Wofford, 29, is charged in the March 9 shooting death of Jamar Givens, 23, homicide investigators wrote in a prepared statement. 

Givens' body was found in the backyard of an Elberon Avenue home.

Wofford was arrested near Atlanta on April 7 by a fugitive apprehension team with assistance from the Henry County Police Department's Criminal Apprehension and Gang Enforcement Unit, according to Cincinnati police.

An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
