Need weekend plans? Step out into the 70-degree temps and hit up one of these events. 

Queen City Comicon: The first annual event (put on by the same group behind the Cincinnati Comic Expo) celebrates all-things comic books and the artists behind them Saturday. Guests are invited to dress up and participate in the costume contest. $5, Duke Energy Convention Center.

Cincinnati Flower Show: Unique floral displays, demonstrations and more at Yeatman’s Cove through Sunday. $15.

Starkbierfest: Local breweries show off their strongest beers – most 7.5% ABV or higher. The event is family-friendly with live music and food vendors. Friday at 5 p.m. and Saturday at noon. Listermann Brewing Company, 1621 Dana Avenue.

FC Cincinnati: For the second home game, FC Cincinnati USL Professional Soccer Team on Saturday takes on Louisville City at 7 p.m. at Nippert Stadium. 

Battle of the Badge: Local Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Police and Firemen box for charity Saturday at BB&T Arena. Proceeds go to the Holiday for Heroes Foundation. $25 - $40. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Cincinnati Earth Day: Dozens of earth-friendly vendors are on hand to celebrate a greener earth. Saturday at noon. Free. Sawyer Point. 

Chocolate 5K: Supporting Cancer Support Community of Greater Cincinnati, this sweet 5K features chocolate stations along the route. And, of course, more chocolate at the end. Starts at 7:15 a.m., $35 registration. 

John Waite performs at Ludlow Garage: John Waite hit the top of the charts with his 1984 hit, "Missing You." Wait's "The Wooden Heart Acoustic Tour" makes a stop Saturday night at the Ludlow Garage. Starts at 8 p.m.
