DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Kings Island will feature several new additions for the 2016 season as gates open Saturday.

The new Soak City attraction, Tropical Plunge, will feature six different slide options. Three of those start off at a chamber that will drop the floor out from underneath you!

The amusement park also partnered with Fischer Homes to offer a new Family Care Center for parents. Located near the Eiffel Tower, the facility will provide areas for nursing and changing.

There’s also a new entrance to the park, and new parking toll plaza.

While Kings Island opens on Saturday, the park will be closed for a private event on Sunday.

Tropical Plunge, and the rest of Soak City, will open May 28.
