People living in the West Side over the coming months will be dealing with a major construction project on the North Bend Road overpass to I-74 in Monfort Heights.
FOX19 NOW was at the construction site Monday morning as setup for the project began.
The bridge has been labeled obsolete since being built back in 1969 making its replacement a necessity.
The $8M project will restrict the bridge down to one lane in both directions.
Officials said the best way from the north is to take West Fork Road to Race Road where a temporary traffic light will be installed. Then take Race Road to Boomer and back to North Bend Road.
