Rob Williams: Guy behind Eli's BBQ opens new concept downtown

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

I love Eli’s BBQ  - Who doesn’t?  So I was excited when I read that Elias Leisring had opened another dining option downtown.

I wasn’t able to talk with Leisring, but did some investigating and here’s what I found.

It’s called Saundra’s Kitchen, and is located on 6th downtown.

I actually drove to the restaurant at the bottom of the Gywnne Building and peeked in the windows.  It looks like the all delivery restaurant is open for business.  I read on Leisring’s Facebook page, it starts today.

Here’s how it works.

Download the Saundra’s Kitchen app in the Apple App Store or Android Google Play.

You can then order food to be delivered anywhere in the downtown area. I did that. You can order up to four days in advance.

Meatballs with red sauce, roasted tomato soup, turkey chili, lemon roasted asparagus, homemade Caesar salad, Asian kale salad, ranch green salad, tomato vin green salad, and sweet onion green salad are a few of the items listed.

You can add salmon or chicken to the salads for a bit extra.

I saw on his Leisrinig’s Facebook page that he is looking for delivery drivers. The food will be delivered on electric kick scooters from “The Garage OTR.”  I also read that they take the time to make their own sauces, dressings, and stocks.

Friendly delivery crew will make sure your orders arrive to your office or home when you want them.   Their slogan, “Let us do the cooking and make meal time a pleasure for you, your family and friends!”
