SPRINGFIELD TWP, OH (FOX19) - A search overnight for a missing girl ended with the child being found just after 4 a.m. Thursday.
The girl was located near her home in the 1600 block of West Kemper Road and appeared to be unharmed, according to Springfield Township police and Hamilton County Urban Search & Rescue (U.S.A.R.).
She was released to family members at the scene, Springfield Township police said.
An extensive search began for the girl when she left her house on foot about 10:15 p.m. Wednesday, they said.
She took off after a fight with a relative, leaving home through the second floor, township firefighters said. Then she came back.
Police called for assistance from Greenhills and Forest Park police, U.S.A.R. and the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's officials said they couldn't put their helicopter in the air due to the weather.
