CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Former Reds reliever Sam LeCure is saying it is "tough to swallow" watching his former team give players a longer leash than he experienced while in Cincinnati.
"I wonder what my career would look like if the Reds had given me as long a leash as they've given some people. Tough to swallow really," LeCure tweeted Saturday morning.
LeCure has since deleted the tweet.
LeCure pitched in parts of six seasons (2010-2015) with the Reds posting a combined 3.51 era in 320.2 innings.
In 2015, LeCure did not make the Opening Day roster and pitched in just 19 games for the Reds. He posted a 3.15 era in those outings.
LeCure was released by the Arizona Diamondback in March and has since signed a minor-league deal with the Dodgers.
