A woman is sitting in a Hamilton County Jail cell after admitting to police she left her kids alone to buy weed.
The incident report reads Elisha Rickelle Nicole Mills abandoned them around 2:37 a.m. on Able court Tuesday.
When police arrived on scene Mills told them she was hit in the face. When police asked what was she doing the report states, “subject stated she was there to buy weed.”
Court records show Mills told police she left her children alone in her car for about 10 minutes. There ages are three years old and three months old.
A witness gave police a different story.
The witness claims the kids were alone in her car for an hour. Court records indicated, “the children were crying and screaming in the vehicle which is an area of frequent trouble dispatches.”
Police recovered marijuana in her shorts pocket the report reads.
Mills has been charged with 2 counts of child endangering and one count of drug possession.
