Arrive early and plan ahead.
That’s advice from Cincinnati transportation officials ahead of the Flying Pig Marathon festivities this weekend.
Whether your participating in one of the races or cheering on a runner, be aware of the following road closures in downtown Cincinnati.
Road closures for the pig will begin as early as Friday and run throughout the day on Sunday. Below is a list of all the closures and the approximate length of time the streets will be block off.
The following streets will be closed on Friday, April 29 at 9 AM until the race completion on Sunday, May 1:
The Little Kings Mile will take place on Friday, April 29 beginning at 8 p.m. In order to accommodate this event, the following streets will close on Friday, April 29 at 7:00 p.m. (All streets will reopen by 10:00 p.m.):
On Saturday, April 30 the running of the 10K, 5K and Kids 1K will take place. The following streets will be affected starting at 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.:
On Sunday, May 1, 2016 the following streets will be closed at 1:00 AM to allow for staging and the start line of the Flying Pig Marathon:
The following streets will be closed as needed, starting at 5:00 AM on Sunday, May 1, 2016 (Crossings will be allowed with Police or volunteer assistance):
The Race proceeds into Mariemont and Fairfax, then returns on westbound US-50/Columbia Parkway:
The Half Marathon will follow the same course out but will turn back at Woodburn Avenue & Madison Road. The following streets will be closed as needed:
Both races finish on E Pete Rose Way between Broadway and Johnny Bench Way in front of US Bank Arena.
