CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Cincinnati Bengals have drafted cornerback William Jackson III out of Houston with the 24th overall pick of the NFL Draft.
The Bengals have picked a cornerback in the first round in 2012, 2014 and now in 2016.
Jackson led the nation in passes broken up with 23.
"When the ball is in the air he can find it in the blind spot and make plays on the ball with those long arms," ESPN analyst Jon Gruden said during the draft broadcast. "He's got to get stronger, just 10 reps on the bench. There is a split decision in some groups. They weren't sure how high he would go. But the Cincinnati Bengals need a young corner."
The Los Angeles Rams drafted quarterback Jared Goff from California as the first pick in the draft.
Ohio State Buckeyes littered the first round with a total of five through 24 picks.

Former Lakota West standout,Ryan Kelly was selected 18th overall by the Indianapolis Colts. Kelly is the first ever Lakota West graduate to be drafted in the first round.
