Last fall, a FOX19 NOW investigation exposed welding certifications used on the University of Cincinnati Nippert Stadium renovation that some welding experts said were faked.

The certifications were handed over by a Cincinnati-based steel erection company to Turner Construction to secure tens of thousands of dollars in steel work on the project.

Tuesday night, we go inside the welding certification process to expose a loophole that’s allowed dogs and a cat to be awarded a welding certification.

We investigate to find out who’s bending the rules and how the public’s safety could be put at risk by this.
