Community members call for peace after Bond Hill murder

Plea to End Violence in Bond Hill (VIDEO)

BOND HILL, OH (FOX19) - Family, friends and supporters 18-year-old Laron Lovett took the street of Bond Hill asking for peace.

On Tuesday evening, children played just steps away from where Lovett's body was found on Saturday. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Larissa Jones knew Lovett and is a friend of the family.

"I have three boys and I think about them. It's not safe out here anymore for our kids to run and play and it's hurtful," said Jones.

That hurt very evident on the faces of those who knew Lovett. Police say there are no new details in Lovett's case. In the meantime those in pain have a message for those with their finger in front of the trigger.

"Stop the violence. It's not worth it you hurt so many people. You don't just hurt that person that you're trying to get revenge from, you hurt a lot of people. You hurt our community. It's time to stand up and stop," said Jones.

Anyone with information on the murder is asked to call crime stoppers at 1-888-352-3040.
