DEARBORN COUNTY, IN (FOX19) - A threat is prompting extra police presence at South Dearborn High School Wednesday.
A high school student received a threatening text from an unknown source that indicated there could be possible violence at school Wednesday, said John Mehrle, the district's superintendent.
Police have interviewed the student, and the incident remains under investigation.
School will be in session Wednesday, but two police officers will be at each entrance to watch students as they enter.
Police also will perform searches as needed.
if you want to keep your child at home, the district will work with you on that, Mehrle said.
