Device provides 'shocking' way to break bad habits

FOX19 - There is now a device that promises to break your bad habits in five days, but you'll have to experience a little pain to do so.

The Pavlok bracelet is gaining popularity throughout the country.

You wear the wristband, and when you do something bad, you press a button and it shocks you.

The shock is supposed to be mild, though you can change the settings if you want a bigger jolt.

The inventors say it follows Pavlovian psychology where you can condition your brain through the immediate negative response.

People claim it has helped them quit smoking, overeating, and more.
