Sgt. Matt Maupin Captured One Year

It's been a year since Union Township Army Sergeant Matt Maupin went missing after his convoy was attacked near Baghdad, Iraq. All day today friends and family members got together in Mount Carmel to keep hope alive that Maupin will be found safe. More than 300 people came out to the American Legion Saturday afternoon, including Congressman Rob Portman. Earlier this week, the military began discussing whether to change the soldier's status from captured to disceased, body not recovered. It could be at least 90 days before that decision is made. Also one year ago, four employees of Halliburton were killed in the same attack. Thomas Hamill was also taken captive, but escaped his captors in May 2004. His Co-Workers Timothy Bell remain unaccounted for.
