CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Bond was set at $10,000 Thursday for the driver accused of causing a crash that killed a Cincinnati firefighter.

Patrick Tucker, 24, of Springdale, faces vehicular homicide and vehicular manslaughter charges in connection with the death of Jordan Pieniazek, 31 last Sunday.

Tucker’s attorney, Clyde Bennett, said his client is a recent college graduate with no criminal record. Bennett claims Tucker is charged with two misdemeanors because authorities did not find any evidence of impairment or reckless driving.

“It was a tragic, unfortunate accident. Nothing more, nothing less,” he said.

Cincinnati police said Tucker went left of center on Winton Road and his vehicle hit and killed Pieniazek, who was riding his motorcycle into work.

Pieniazek was a member of the fire department since 2009.

A celebration of life service for Pieniazek will he held Friday afternoon at Vineyard Church.
