CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

One person is dead and another is seriously injured after a crash on Columbia Parkway Thursday.

Timothy Moore was traveling west on Columbia Parkway near Taft Rd. when his Honda Accord went left of center into the eastbound lanes, according to the Cincinnati Police Department.

Moore's vehicle struck a Ford Focus driven by Erin Kendall, who was traveling eastbound. Kendall's vehicle then struck a van operated by Douglas Johnson, investigators said.

Moore, 36, was extricated from his vehicle and was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.

Kendall, 33, suffered serious injuries and is currently in stable condition at UC Medical Center. Johnson, 74, was treated for minor injuries and released at the scene.

Investigators say speed does not appear to be a factor and impairment is unknown at this time.

Moore was not wearing his seatbelt. Kendall and Johnson were wearing their seatbelts during the crash.

Columbia Parkway was shut down in both directions for several hours as crews investigated the scene.

The Cincinnati Traffic Unit is investigating the crash. Anyone with information is encouraged to call (513) 352-2514.
