WARREN COUNTY, OH (FOX19) - Ohio State Highway Patrol is now investigating the incident where a woman was found in the middle of Interstate 71 as a possible suicide.
An officer found the body in the northbound lanes near the Field Ertel exit around 2 a.m. Saturday morning, the Ohio State Highway Patrol confirms.
AirCare was immediately called but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
OSP says woman passenger allegedly exited the vehicle as it was traveling on I-71 and was struck by another northbound vehicle.
The striking vehicle did not stop after the incident, according to investigators.
The incident remain under investigation.
Northbound I-71 has reopened after the highway was shut down as crews investigated the scene.
