You could save $60 every year, just by buying gas at the right time.
Researchers at the Federal Reserve Bank which studied gas prices over the past few years found there is a right time to fill up.
Prices on Tuesday and Wednesday were the cheapest with gas about 4 cents less than the average.
Prices on Friday and Saturday were the most expensive with gas about 3 cents higher than the average.
They also found getting gas later in the day can help, as price hikes usually happen overnight, and due to price wars, can go lower during the day.
