Rugby coach says fire victim made others feel good about themselves
The coach of Miami University's rugby club says a victim of yesterday's fatal fire was a personable young man who made others feel good about themselves.
Rugby coach Kevin Kittredge says 22-year-old Stephen Smith of Bethesda, Maryland, "loved life" and had the ability to make others laugh. The coach said Smith played an outstanding rugby game against the University of Cincinnati the day before the fire that killed Smith and two women. All three were Miami University students.
Investigators are inside the scorched house today to try and determine what caused the fire at a house near Miami's campus in Oxford.
Miami professors and students honored the victims today by observing a moment of silence in classrooms.
