SPRINGDALE, OH (FOX19) -

A local woman is on the run after allegedly sparking a police chase with her child inside the van at the time of the incident.

Erica Barreiro-Rapp was at the Springdale Police Department to attend court when officers notified her that she was wanted in two other jurisdictions, the Springdale Police Department said.

Barreiro-Rapp allegedly told her attorney she was going to go get her phone from her van so that she could call someone to pick up her child. Officers followed her out to her van where she refused to get out of the vehicle, according to Springdale Police Department Lt. Rick Neumann.

She eventually took off and led officers on chase.

Neumann said the chase was called off due to the risk of the child in the car.

Barreiro-Rapp then allegedly went to the In-Town Suites in Fairfield where she convinced a random guest to let her in the room, police said. The guest figured out what was going on and Barreiro-Rapp and her child jumped out the window.

She was facing charges in Butler County and in Kentucky. The Springdale Police Department is now charging her with child endangering, fleeing and driving over marked lanes.
